Wander
Wander through pool reflections
Wander through smoked mirrors and stigma
Stem and root are genuine ... yet leaves turn grey
My best cow Bessie just ate a bunch of hay
Glimpses catch her fodder
in quiet movements and glances
... wind peeling back the layers of unique magic
tongues of poplar yellow now rot tragic
They come as slices of sunshine
across pine needles and beds of soft rusty cones
They flash orange red and crimson across cornia
branches pencil thin against me ( tickle tickle )
soda makes me urine while cruising in Tallahassee
Perfect movements that open mine eyes!
shift the landscape and let the veil of consciousness wane
... like gold weather vanes
and silver spurs of tarnished boots
But the wind dies and many think in threes
March has caught demise in play
created sight where meanings change elements
allows the syrup to cover the ground
brushing aside status quo and standard fancy
... why waste time reading a novel by Tom Clancy
I write poems that stimulate and intrigue
a feat of feet and toes count them five ten
when I want some good rice
- I call Uncle Ben's
These are the saturated qualms of endearment you see
Arugula salads for nomenclatures ... and me
