My blog is your blog. You know, every once in a while you hear other people complaining about another site ‘stealing’ their work. I know and understand this happens and truthfully I even understand why people care. That being said, I'm not one if those people. You’ll never hear me complain for two reasons:
1) To the best of my knowledge no one has ever stole one of my works. I like to think this is out of respect and in no way reflects the quality of my work.
2) I don’t think I would really care if anyone ever did. I guess credit would be nice but … whatever. Want a post or ten - knock yourself out. You could build a whole site on my archives alone!
Of course, even the title of this post is ‘theft’ of a sort – a play on words on the infamous book written Abbie Hoffman, fittingly while in jail. I will regretfully admit that I’ve never read this work that came out around the same time I was born. Of course, part of the reason is that many bookstores refused to carry the book, because some patrons followed the advice of the book's title and it is very hard to find in libraries for that same reason. The book does sound someone interesting, at least from the explanation of content that I ‘stole’ from an online ‘free encyclopaedia’:
The book includes advice on such topics as growing marijuana, 
starting a pirate radio station, living in a commune, stealing food, shoplifting, stealing credit cards, preparing a legal defence, making pipe bombs, and obtaining a free buffalo from the U.S. Department of the Interior. It discusses various tactics of fighting as well as giving a detailed list of affordable and easy ways to find weapons and armour that can be used in the event of a confrontation with law enforcement. The book advocates rebelling against authority in all forms, governmental and corporate.
Now I’m even going to start by explaining which of the topics interested me but I will say that I’m going to more actively obtain myself a copy. Oh, and yes – I will try to NOT buy it – out of respect only and not because I’m a cheap bastard. WOW! That was fast – a quick Google search brought me HERE. Okay, well, I guess I’m off to start reading. If you decided to ‘steal’ this post – well, I wish you all the best and hope you consider CANUCKLEHEAD.CA for all your future post-related needs. I was actually thinking that it would be neat if it turned into a meme of sorts - you know, it started turning up everywhere. Of course, if I stole it I would - meh, whatever - you stole it, do what you want. Cheers!
