Alice in Wonderland-MOVIE

I went to watch the Alice in Wonderland the movie with my classmates. Honestly, I don't know how I felt about the movie. I was so hyped up about the movie, but I'm not sure if it was any good. I also wonder if I would've liked it if I weren't in this class. If I didn't have the background knowledge that I gained from this class, would I have liked the movie better? I'm not sure...

From a Bumpster's point of view, the plot was ridiculous. This movie creates a stupid sisterly dispute between the White Queen and the Red Queen. The Red Queen takes over the Wonderland with her pet Jabberwocky? It's an absurd plot. Why does she forget everything about the Wonderland anyway? Wouldn't she at least remember it as a strange dream? And what's up with the Mad Hatter liking Alice? The movie seems to suggest that he liked her since the last time she visited, but she was just a little child of age maybe 6. Unless the Mad Hatter is a pedophile, it's incomprehensible why he'd adore her so much. And why is Cheshire Cat so powerful? He saves the Mad Hatter!! I just don't think the movie sequel of the book is out of line and doesn't make any sense.

They look creepy! Johnny Depp was really good nevertheless

FAT BOYYSSSS~!!

Just judging it simply as a movie. It was o.k. It was a movie with a simple plot. There is evil, and an unlikely heroine who saves the world. She collects the weapon to fight the evil creature, and wins. Evil Red Queen loses her power and peace is restored in Wonderland. Simple plot with a simple theme: follow your heart. The overriding theme of this movie was to do things that please you; don't live your life to please others. At the end of the movie, she rejects the marriage proposal and becomes an independent woman. I thought the movie failed to deliver the message well.

As I wrote this DB, I made up my mind about the movie. It was a disappointment. I think Hollywood could have done a lot better. I must admit though that watching Alice in Wonderland in 3D was pretty cool.
Cheshire Cat was my favorite
