I was born in a small town, Pelominie South Dakota. We didn't have much ... but I have some memories and this photo.
People called my "Lil Speedy", and I reckon that's where my legend started. I was out in the yard one day, and in the blink of an eye my mamma lost me. I was racing down County Road 7.
Police were called and the whole town went into panic mode. They found me sitting in a sand box making castles about 10 miles from where I started. Yes .... they said I must have been the fastest baby that ever lived. With that came fame and recognition, and that was good because daddy said I was not the cutest child he had ever seen. I know what your thinking - that bearded baby is kinda cute! Well, I was in my own Speedy way.
